The Aaron Redd Foundation makes contribution to the Boulder Crest

Boulder Crest is the nation's first privately-funded rural wellness center dedicated to combat veterans, first responders and their family members. They operate two beautiful facilities - Boulder Crest Retreat Virginia is a 37-acre facility located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Bluemont, Virginia and Boulder Crest Retreat Arizona, a 130-acre ranch located inside the Coronado National Forest in Sonoita, Arizona. They offer two nationally unique programs: PATHH Programs [Progressive Alternative Training for Healing Heroes] and R&R [their family rest and re-connection stays.

A small world. The president of the Aaron Redd Foundation, Eileen Redd, had the pleasure of meeting Joe Wood, a nine year Army Veteran, husband and father of two, while working in the defense contracting world. They talked about their families and wanting to make an impact with their lives. They Linked-in and became Facebook Friends. When Eileen learned about Joe taking the position as Executive Director, Boulder Crest, Arizona she realized their mission fell directly in line with their Foundation and that it only made sense to work together.

A little wind. A big check.

Each year the Aaron Redd Foundation chooses a charity for their CG Classic Golf Tournament; last year the Board unanimously voted to give $5000 to Boulder Crest as their Charity of Choice for the CG Classic in 2019. Joe put Eileen in touch with Vice President of Boulder Crest, Ms. Sarah Fehrer, and together they partnered for the event. Develop. Procure. LLC a defense contracting company in Northern Virginia sponsored a foursome with their generous donation.

We are a small yet passionate group of people coming together to support our Military and First Responders. We hope to have some of our family and friends volunteer in the future at their facilities in both Virginia and Arizona. Visit www.bouldercrestretreat.org for more information and to see how you can help.
